Voyager's mission is to make your journey into crypto as simple as possible. The first step is funding your account. Here, we walk you through linking your bank account and making your first deposit so you can trade Bitcoin, Ethereum, DOGE, and more than 60 other digital assets.

  1. Open the app to the Market Page (the main screen you land on when you open the app) and tap the User Icon at the top-left of the screen
  2. Select Bank Accounts
  3. Tap on Add a Bank Account

These steps take you to our partner, Plaid, a secure bank linking platform you may recognize from other well-known apps like Venmo. You will be prompted to sign in to your bank account to allow Plaid to link your bank to Voyager. If you have the option to choose between your savings and checking accounts, keep in mind that checking account deposits will clear more quickly and are less likely to be rejected during transfer.

To see if your bank is eligible for Voyager deposits, check Bank Accounts on your Voyager app.

Next, fund your account

  1. Once your bank account is linked, return to your settings page and select Transfer Funds.
  2. Type in the number of dollars you want to transfer from your bank account into your Voyager account and slide to deposit.
  3. Immediately buy your favorite crypto assets with instant deposits.

Note: to withdraw your funds, you must wait until your deposit fully clears in the Voyager app, which can take 5–10 business days. Funds may leave your bank account before they fully clear and show up in the app.

Voyager is available to all U.S. residents (excluding New York state). We are actively working with regulators to obtain a Bitlicense to operate in New York and expand internationally.
