We're excited to announced that as of today DigiByte (DGB) is now live for trading on the Voyager app.
DigiByte (DGB) is a global blockchain with a focus on cybersecurity for digital payments and decentralized applications.
DigiByte considers itself a faster and more secure alternative to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. DigiByte blocks are mined every fifteen seconds, compared to the Bitcoin blockchain, which produces blocks every ten minutes.
Different than centralized algorithm blockchains, DigiByte uses five secure and advanced cryptographic mining algorithms to prevent malicious attacks. By creating and implementing DigiShield and MultiShield, DigiByte says it has the most advanced difficulty stability of any blockchain in the world today.
Jared Tate created DigiByte in 2013 as an alternative to Bitcoin, making improvements to the speed and security of the protocol. DigiByte officially launched in 2014 and the foundation pre-mined 0.5%, with 0.25% given away to the public, and another 0.25% dedicated to supporting the projects development for the first 18 months.
